![]() This is another reason to prefer high damage per bullet weapons over fast firing semi or fully automatic guns. Another aspect is ammo capacity, where sniper rifles have lowest ammo count of all weapons. It is more common that you use snipers to set up an ambush and get a clean headshot out first-this is where damage per bullet matters. You very rarely use sniper riles for sustained fire, therefore, DPS is meaningless. Marksman rifles are another good example where DPS is very misleading info. ![]() Why accuracy matters so much when you are usually using SMG in close range and often unloading whole clip into your target? Other SMGs will have lower accuracy but much higher damage per bullet with similar RPM yet this SMG will have lower DPS due to lacking accuracy. You can get very accurate but low damage per bullet SMGs that will have high DPS. Especially accuracy can skew DPS upwards, which at times means very little. ![]() DPS calculation is definitely skewed by stats that not always matter such as magazine size, RPM and accuracy. ![]() I must say weapon comparison, their stats and DPS calculation is lacking a bit. I assume damage refers to damage per bullet while DPS is a measurement of how a gun performs under sustained fire.
